You've got one beautiful coach there Sailorman. Wish I could see it. We hope see it at Sunshine Statesmen rallies next winter. When are you gonna start using it? Oh, and BTW, how did you manage to get it home?

My coach is home and that is probably why I am able to post so much more. I had it towed by a company that tows big trucks and buses. It was expensive but worth it.
Today I am seeing my doctor partially to eliminate the ban on me driving. The current situation is a real pain.
I hope to see you when you are back in Florida.

I'm back on the road! The doc cleared me yesterday. I can stop holding my breath. I can't wait to see all of your guys in person!

I have got to shorten the GMC Motorhome's base to get the C-Max toad down for accuracy, but I think that is is very cool to RV this way.
I think that there will be very little air resistance, but I am thinking about a rear spoiler on the coach. I have seen a few applications.
I have 2 red 16ft Hobie kayaks using Thule Hullavator mounts that support and drop the kayaks on the side of the vehicle.
Maybe we will actually be able to get to the redwoods.

Wow cannot believe it has been since last April since I posted on my build, we have been using our coach a lot which is great and definitely keeps me motivated on the build. 2025 we spent several weekends at Indiana Dunes State Park which is one of our favorites, we did make it to Great Lakers Rally in Granger, IN and 2025 was our second year taking the coach to Michigan International Speedway which we have been going for over 20 years.

A couple pictures from Indiana Dunes and MIS, if you look at beach pics you can see Chicago in the distance which is common on a clear day.

I have been running an electric fan setup like we have in our boogie van (Mark VII fan, Volvo controller and BMW temp sensor) for the past few years and just could not get it to my liking and would run to much so I went back to the clutch fan with the modified split shroud, here are a few pics of that mod, much happier with results and another reason to sometimes Keep It Simple.

I agree with your observation KISS solutions are usually better. Why convert rotational electric power to 12VDC to run a motor to run a fan again. Another high current load for out poor underrated alternator.

I also believe the OEM fan moves way more air than the electric fans which are typically installed in front of the rad. This means you are trying to push turbulent air through the rad fins. I believe you get more air-flow through the rad by pulling a more laminar air flow through the rad with the fan behind the rad.

I's like to try the electric fan clutch as designed by Tom Pryor (I believe) , but my OEM style clutch is working fine in this moment.

Agreed, I always wince when seeing energy converted between forms unnecessarily. It always leads to extra losses. Electrical control is nice, and easier to tune though. I've had three clutch fans on my current coach that come on at the wrong time. I'm now determined to "tune" one of them so I can avoid complicating the system.

New porch/awning light!
Looks great!.

I tired that a few years ago by sticking the multicolour LED rope to the underside of the Zip-Dee aluminum awning cover. Unfortunately the double-sided tape fell off the first time it cover got warm even though it claimed to be 3M tape, was just a goo.

Hoping to try again with a roll of 3-wire multicolour addressable LED rope which it looks like you have.

It's attached to the coach just below the Zip-Dee, using aluminum channel with cover (diffuser) and is attached with 3M VHB 4950, in the channel I put SK6812 (similar WS2812B) which has dedicated white that I can choose any color temp. I use an ESP32 controller with WLED app to control everything.

Cool. I was planning on using the same setup with WLed. I don't want to have it do anything crazy and make the campsite look like a Disco

First time cabinet builder, thanks YouTube! As some of you have seen before when I did the bath, fridge cabinet and entry cabinet were all done with balloon type framing and wood over the top. For the galley I have to build the cabinets like an actual cabinet, all the doors are built just like before. Being nothing is level or square on the coach I built the simple base separate from the cabinet to start with a level surface.

Needed something for in front of the furnace, we are fair weather campers so we did not feel the need heat ducts, we just need something take the chill off quickly. We run electric heaters when we have power hookups. Of course wanted the cover to look like the cabinet doors, found this perforated metal in my scrap, hammered it flat, it was painted silver/aluminum before install.
