You've got one beautiful coach there Sailorman. Wish I could see it. We hope see it at Sunshine Statesmen rallies next winter. When are you gonna start using it? Oh, and BTW, how did you manage to get it home?
My coach is home and that is probably why I am able to post so much more. I had it towed by a company that tows big trucks and buses. It was expensive but worth it.You've got one beautiful coach there Sailorman. Wish I could see it. We hope see it at Sunshine Statesmen rallies next winter. When are you gonna start using it? I'm back on the road! The doc cleared me yesterday. I can stop holding my breath. I can't wait to see all of your guys in person! My coach is home and that is probably why I am able to post so much more. I had it towed by a company that tows big trucks and buses. It was expensive but worth it.
Today I am seeing my doctor partially to eliminate the ban on me driving. The current situation is a real pain.
I hope to see you when you are back in Florida.
Agreed, I always wince when seeing energy converted between forms unnecessarily. It always leads to extra losses. Electrical control is nice, and easier to tune though. I've had three clutch fans on my current coach that come on at the wrong time. I'm now determined to "tune" one of them so I can avoid complicating the system. Why convert rotational electric power to 12VDC to run a motor to run a fan again.
Looks great!.New porch/awning light!
It's attached to the coach just below the Zip-Dee, using aluminum channel with cover (diffuser) and is attached with 3M VHB 4950, in the channel I put SK6812 (similar WS2812B) which has dedicated white that I can choose any color temp. I use an ESP32 controller with WLED app to control everything.Looks great!.
I tired that a few years ago by sticking the multicolour LED rope to the underside of the Zip-Dee aluminum awning cover. Unfortunately the double-sided tape fell off the first time it cover got warm even though it claimed to be 3M tape, was just a goo.
Hoping to try again with a roll of 3-wire multicolour addressable LED rope which it looks like you have.
Cool. I was planning on using the same setup with WLed. I don't want to have it do anything crazy and make the campsite look like a DiscoIt's attached to the coach just below the Zip-Dee, using aluminum channel with cover (diffuser) and is attached with 3M VHB 4950, in the channel I put SK6812 (similar WS2812B) which has dedicated white that I can choose any color temp.
