So what did you do to your GMC today?

I picked up two new tires for the right rear that I had dropped off at the tire shop yetseday, then I cleaned all the old grease out of the wheel bearings for the RR and the RM hubs, re-packed the RR wheel bearings, replaced the seal, and assembled that hub. Hoping to get the RM hub on tomorrow afternoon.

I installed two new rear KYB shocks on the right rear yesterday, Will do new brake pads and bleed the brakes on that side, then start on the left side. Lotta work!

You couldn't ask for better weather to work on it though...

That is going to take a lot of polishing. Hope your arm and hand are up to it.

If you ever sell your GMC, this documentation will be great info for the next buyer. You've convinced me to do something similar.

Fixed the Cruise Control (Rostra) today. On our last 2hr drive in heavy rain it started acting up, dropping the set or taking over speed by speeding up with out me commanding it to do so. Finally just stopped working. Checked the two grounds and finally found the 4amp fuse blown. Had to take the bottom half of my dash apart to find the fuse holder. Needless to say I corrected that fuse access issue. Sunday on our next move, I find out if it works. Tomorrow I'm gonna check the water level in the house batteries.

We had a warm day, and I had time off from work. Therefore I was able to work on the GMC. I was able to install a new muffler on the generator. Much quieter now.

Did you go with the official Cummins/Onan part that's hard to find, or something custom?

I found the official Cummins/Onan parts to be unobtainium. I used some flexible exhaust tubing and a muffler I got off of Amazon. The muffler looked like OEM.

Replacing original leaky front clearance lights. Despite sealing the holy crap out of the original lights, I gave up and am now replacing with sealed LED lights. The original light design just doesn’t keep water out.

Update: Rain coming Sunday/Monday. Let’s see if these lights leak now.

I didn't do much to the coach today, but in the last two weeks, I repacked all the rear wheel bearings, had the rear brake rotors turned and installed new disc brake pads, installed new KYB shocks on the rear and mid wheels, put four new tires on the back, and flushed the brake system and bled it all out.

Yesterday I changed the oil and transmission fluid on the towd ('03 Tracker) and today I rotated the tires on it.

I've had just about enough of this for a while. Beats making repairs on the road though!

Finished installing a front and rear camera mounted to rearview mirror.

A couple days late, but on Friday I replaced water pump switch in bathroom with a original pump switch with a light when on. IMG_0019.webp
