So what did you do to your GMC today?

I noticed that the rear end of the GMC was sitting pretty low. I attempted to air it up, but discovered a broken air line on the passenger side. The line had broken off right at the fitting. So, I ended up airing that side up with a portable air compressor (I have a cut-off valve and schrader valve at the inlet to the airspring), which gave me the room to get in there and fix the broken air line with a new fitting. Easy peasy. Nothing worse than when your rear end is hanging low. Am I right?😁

So, what did you do to your GMC today?

Hi Paul, Yeah, Friday counts. I read your other post about this. Thank goodness second gear somewhat worked.
I would say your project is just a weeee bit more complicated than mine was.

I do need to revisit the same project you did though. I've been manually filling the bags on the Palm Beach with a shrader valve for the last two years. At least everything works on the Glenbrook.

Blew the snow off of the roof in prep for trip to Florida. Loaded stuff needed for a 4 month trip that will culminate at the GMCMI convention in Waynesville NC the middle of April. So looking forward to getting out of the below 0 weather with -21 windchills. If any of you are planning time in Florida, call me. Let's visit!! Hope to see some of you at the rally in April or the Sunshine Statesman rally in Cape Coral FL March 6-9. Good times coming.

Yesterday I removed the dinette booth seats and seat belts and installed LVT flooring in the main living space. I just about got it done before it got loo late. Today I'll finish up by re-installing the seat belts and the dinette. It will be nice to have a solid surface floor for easy clean up. Plus, the old carpet was starting to look pretty ratty.
I've attached two photos. I went with solid flooring instead of carpeting after reading multiple suggestions on this forum. Thanks all.

Washed it down with my pressure washer. Always removes bit and pieces of the repaint. Original paint is off-white so it's not a catastrophe. Filled it with gas and propane to prepare for the cold, wet weather I expect to see soon in the PNW. Finally tarped it down to keep the rain off. It's got some leak(s) somewhere but that's not the top priority at the moment. Next up will be rebuilding the rear sleeping area.

Today, I emptied the black tank and did some cleaning from the four night camping trip we just got back from. Washed the Travasack sheet, pillow cases, towels etc, and wiped down most of the outside with some detailer.

Next I need to re-pack the rear bearings and flush the brake fluid. It also evidently needs some adjustment on the new ignition switch or the neutral safety switch.

There's always something.

I haven't done it yet but I have to go out to the coach and pull the wheels two at a time and polish them. Two years ago I tried to polish them on the coach and just succeeded in removing the protective coating that was keeping them "shiney." They'e nice Ion's but in the absence of a protective coating they get crappy looking like any aluminum. Luckily, I bought a quart of Flitz polish at a state fair a couple of years ago and that on a polish pad on my drill shines them up nicely. This time I'll remember to put some kind of clear finish on them when I'm done.

After 47 yrs of flopping around in the wind, the wire going to the antenna finally broke in half, so I spent a couple of hours today stringing a new wire. Did a scan and got 103 channels. (Orlando Fl area) Of coarse, many duplicates, many religious, many in Spanish, and even one was the Eagles/Chargers playoff in Spanish. Quite the cultural experience here in Clarmont FL.

Yesterday was sunny and nice, so I was able to change the oil and filter on the engine, as well as fix a minor exhaust leak. I also discovered that my alternator wasn't working. Perhaps I will get that done today.
I was also able to take the GMC out for a drive, and spent $100 filling the tank with gas. It felt good to be on the road again!

New tires for Oliver, hoping to polish the wheels while off…Eagles, circa 2013… iirc these are “not” clear coated however I can’t seem to polish off what look like water spots…even with a mild abrasive cleaner (bartenders friend)
