Well, our Revcon is finally on the streets again. Thanks to the Forum community! On Thursday we will leave Lower Austria...


On the right hand side you can see the typical European Camper size and this is considered to be "large".

Back to the roots...



For the next "Corona Session" in the Revcon...but I mean the beer, of course!!!

I wanted to get the new foil trim done before winter time in the first place, but the car wrapping company was too busy.

I found a photo of a 1979 Revcon, which is going to be the template. The style of my Revcon was just the same as this one.



But I want a smaller foil cut, because I think that this will look more elegant. The color should be dark red, like the one we used for the bottom side of the Revcon. The position of the lettering is going to be the same.

The "arrows" should be smaller too and I don´t want to have them pasted over the generator flap.



Now the deadline for wrapping my Revcon is April/Mai 2023. They need warm weather to get the job done.

What a coincidence...have a look at the picture - almost like my Revcon. Even the yellow fog lamps on the bumper are the same.

When were you in Fairbanks? I've been there many times.

I really enjoyed driving around Germany, hopefully someday I will be able to return and see more of Europe.

I was there in 1992, just after my graduation from Commercial College. My mother has an old friend in Alaska, her younger son lived with us in Austria in our family for one year in 1987/88 and so I visited them in Alaska and stayed for 2 months.

When you are in Munich, let me know. I' m only 1,5 h away from this city.

My sister started College in Fairbanks in 1992. My cousin and uncle also went to College there in different years.

I probably won't go back to Munich, I prefer the country. It was cool to get into a tent at Oktoberfest though.

Legacy. No pictures from the interior. No keys, no papers, Background story would be interesting...somebody has imported it, but it was never registered for German road use.

Parked in a remote area, forgotten...you could write books about "sad" GMC Motorhome stories like this one...

Hi Billy! OK. If I am near Rosenheim, I will have a look at the GMC. It' s snowing heavily at the moment.



To-do list Revcon for 2023:

1. Replacing the 4 rear wheel bearings on the Hendrikson Tandem and the one tire with an oval outline in order to get finally rid of the annoying vibrations. Spin balancing on the vehicle afterwards.

2. New foil trim in dark red (April). The company needs warm weather to get the job done.

3. My mechanic has to adjust the service hatch in the front properly before applying a new foil, because of the incorrect clearance. There is a gap on the driver's side.

4. The new front AC is still leaking in a downpour. Has to be sealed properly.

5. Differential oilchange and new sealing.

6. New driveshafts with new bolts (breakdown in August 22)

7. 2 new shocks (front).

8. Frame of the hitch (rear) - I ordered 2 little wheels to prevent grounding.

9. Spoiler damage (from towing in August). The cracks on both sides have to be eradicated.

10. Concerning sliding window at the driver's seat and all the big windows: New fitting fuzzy channels. The ones which I have already bought before are too tight and don' t seal the windows like they should.
