Guess what Heinz- you're probably in the greatest position geographically to
use as a 'model' and seeing as I'm still shopping for a GMC, you get to
help- I'm in Vancouver! Any chance I could pop by for a look at your GMC
sometime soon? I'd like to double check a couple things so I can configure a
tool that will work for everyone, Alcoas or otherwise. I'd need to take a
few measurements - can you give me a call at your leisure? 604 899 2004. or

I'll make a few 'kits' ( six perhaps?) of tools to check alignment on a
single coach this month, for free distribution and also forward a blueprint
and user instructions to anyone who'd like to post it on the net for the
people who would like to make their own. With good instructions anyone half
skilled with a hacksaw and file should be able to replicate the tool, and at
minimal cost.

Basically, I intend to take advantage of the track difference between the
front and rear wheels and the high degree of accuracy that results over
measuring an extremely small angle over a very long span. By using the front
axle as a reference for the rear axle toe, and vice versa, a very precise
measurement can be easily and consistently made.

I'll do everything I can to make it idiot proof and simple to use.

will see what they would cost to have made in my friends shop.
