Toby,
Those articles by Wes Caughlan were terrific. Thanks for some real data and
rationale. I'll now keep my G159 equipped Alcoa's at 80+ psi and run in
auto on the air ride.

For those to whom I sent the Zipped file with the two
PDFs, there might have been a glitch in the mail delivery.
If you only got part of the file(s), my apologies. (Mail has
been a little hinky at this end for a couple of days . . .)

For you, and anybody else who might be interested, I've
added both parts of the article to my Web page.

Click on "GMC Stuff" in the nav bar in the left frame, then
scroll down and click on the file icon(s) next to the titles
"How To Damage a Tire . . ."

Pardon the photos. I was given a bad Xerox of a bad
Xerox. But it's readable, and hopefully will add to the
catalog of information about tires, weight and weighing,
and the GMC.

I'm glad you found the info useful. That was the intended
purpose of sharing it.

BTW, I forgot to mention that the tire/pressure charts from
the Tire and Rim Association are difficult/impossible to
read in the article(s).

A couple of relevant pages from a more recent TRA
manual are on my Web page in PDF format.

Click on "GMC Stuff" then scroll down past the tire
articles, and click on the file icon next to TRA chart.
