Not sure about that. Some examples were prototypes or examples of
pre-production. Some were not approved for use by D.O.T. like limited
production vehicles. Examples might be Indy pace cars, Mustang drag racing
models, like one of 50 or 1 of 200 produced to qualify for proof of actual
production vehicles to racing groups like N.A.S.C.A.R, or NHRA. Those
things are truly rare vehicles, and I can see the fuss over them. But, 1 in
1000? I question their million dollar price tags at auctions.
