Upper control arm bolt aprt #

Anyone have a part # for the upper control arm bolts. The ones that have a flat spot machined on them to accept the cam for Camber/caster adjusting.

They are available with the cams, and nuts on the help tree display. No
access to part numbers here in Coos Bay, sorry.

The part is listed in the GMCMI Parts Interchange under Front Axle, Control Arm, Shaft Kit. It is listed as Moog K5266 and NAPA 264-3620

NOTE TO KIM: To make it easier to find I suggest you add words after "Shaft Kit" to read "Shaft Kit Caster/Camber Cam Bolt"
Also add another part number:
AC/Delco 45K18020

I'm amazed since the Moog used to be the only known part. It appears it was used on many vehicles.
However, I've also heard all the current replacements (Moog included) are Metric so don't fit as well.

Believe it!! In This case the bolt is metric and slightly smaller in diameter and longer than the OEM it replaces. The cams themselves are also a
little larger in diameter which restricts the amount of camber/caster you can potentially dial in when turned to the extreems. Just what I observed on
my coach.

Yes, Karen, I suspected as much. I gave a hasty answer. There are some
"bootleg" parts out there that are sometimes even packaged in containers
resembling Moog and other manufacturers. They are made of inferior
substandard materials and fit poorly. It has become a buyer beware market
when it comes to automotive parts. I have encountered the adjuster cams and
bolts myself, although they were not marketed as moog or Genuine G.M.
parts. Just plain white box with a number on the outside. It is not only
suspension parts, I have encountered ignition modules, starter solenoids,
alternator parts, just to name a few. Most of the time the bolts on
adjustment cams are damaged by idiots with impact wrenches instead of
torque wrenches. At least 1/4 of those bolts are ground away to index them
with the cams. They won't take a whole bunch of tightening before they
strip or twist off. Sorry I can't be more help.

I've run into some of those parts too. For example cam bolts that strip out even when using a torque wrench. I've learned to stick to the bottom end
of the torque range on these, and hope that it holds. No guarantee anymore of getting genuine parts, it seems no matter where you buy them. But as
they say, 'whaddya do?'

I salveded out a 73" a couple of years back and have at least one if not
two of these bolts available if anyone would want one.
