There are some programs that do that for you but mine is like yours so I
will pass on what I found out, the hard way.
I think you know, I'm not saying you did anything wrong... and I realize
some folks' return addresses come through with quotes and some don't. It
doesn't matter when you are communicating one to one. But when you have
multiple addresses on the TO: line, each address is supposed to be
separated from the next by a , and it is pretty literal about that.
There are not supposed to be any spaces but the " " take care of that,
usually. I went through this 2 months ago when my wife had a heart
attack and I had a list as long as yours, to send updates several times a
day. It is probably not worth the bother now, but for the future, it
will work without a hitch, if you will just delete everything except the
actual address for each person and separate with a comma:
xxx, zzz, yyy (no "Bright, Walter" ddd)
Then once you have it done right once, save a copy of that message and
cut and paste the TO: line right into the new message. There are some
ways in some programs to automate this, but the above will work.
One other thing I learned is, put yourself at the end of the list (your
email address) and then if the software gives up in the middle because of
too many errors, or as someone said too many recipients as defined by
your ISP, you will have a warning, because you won't get a copy actually
mailed back to you.
Again let me thank you for doing all this for us.
