On this thread, does anyone know of any company that will provide actual
roadside repair? I have had two failures on my coach (that I probably should
have been prepared for, but that was another story) which would have been
trivial 10 minute repairs on the roadsize (an Alternator belt, and a distributor
cap/ignition module), but all anyone wants to do is tow. Since the GMC is a
bit complex to tow, I frankly do not feel that it is wise to tow the coach
unless something catastrophic fails, and hence despite my "Road Service"
package, I almost always end up canvassing the local area via cellphone to
find someone who can actually help. The last thing that I want is a $5.00 part
to cause a tow by a guy who does not know how, and end up getting the front
end thrown out of alignment and/or the frame twisted.
So how about it, anyone know of a road service company that actually gives
road service, and not just towing?
