Tom,
I'd like to invite you to take a step back and reconsider what you wrote
below...
As you may recall, when you first advocated developing the bearing puller a
number of folks rained on your parade - with comments that weren't terribly
different from what you just said about Scott.
If you recall, I was one of your supporters - but low key. I remain low key
on the issues of people bringing new/improved/available products to market
for our GMC.
Scott went very public when the puller issue came up and said he would look
into establishing a faster supply chain for the new bearing puller order.
So, nobody should have been surprised by the second channel being created.
I encourage you (or anyone else developing a product) to ship it as
complete as you afford. It reduces miscommunication and makes it easier for
purchasers to deal with the end product.
I view Scott's offer to shorten delivery times as just another GMC benefit.
(When I ordered my first puller from Fred I got the same story as guys are
getting now. I don't doubt that he believes what he is passing on, so I am
NOT calling his integrity into question. I WILL buy other products from JSC)
Personally, I appreciate both you and Scott doing altruistic GMC things,
but I do think that there is still room for you both to make at least a
small profit on these endeavors.
Henry
