Has any one looked into using the Thomas compressor on the Electro Level
II
system?

Hi all

I'm not sure that using the Thomas pump for a vacuum pump and compressor is
any cheaper than buying a used vacuum pump but I have the necessary diagrams
for you if you want to set it up for dual function.

The diagrams are on a temporary web page at www.mumert.com
Could someone please review it and move it to a permanent location. Let us
know where you put it.

The system proposed automatically switches from compressor to vacuum pump.
Vacuum pump has priority. The mode switches from compressor to vacuum pump
automatically even if it is running as a compressor. Switchover time should
be about 30 milliseconds (it is equal to the drop out time of the solenoid
valve).

Requires only 2 solenoid valves. Check at a local truck supply for air
valves.

Good luck

Hey Scott, put me down for one of the 317's -- onwards to the requisite 30!
Any progress on sliding your new frame under the coach?

Catching up on digests after being gone for a month to NZ for new grandson
;-)....

As always, best regards.

Whew, just got done reading *all* of the GMC digests accumulated since
we've been gone. Now that we're over the 29 mark re the Thomas 317
compressor, should we be looking at another price break for 49 or more?
Just a thought...

As always, best regards.

Great Idea Scott. Love those Thomas's.

I installed mine about a month ago. My Dana took 6 min 47 sec to inflate my bags
from dead flat to auto shut off. This was a rebuilt Dana. The Thomas 315 takes 4
min 17 sec. from complete flat at about 1/3 the decibels. Well worth the money.
Only $103.00 up here (after conversion) Easy upgrade. Super simple. Unbolt Dana
and wires, screw down Thomas reconnect wires. Add air line. Done 10 min max.
Again, Great Idea. I wish I had thought of it.

Scott, it was 158.00 Canadian. 103.00 US. I bought mine from a suspension supply
shop. I got it as a firestone Ride Rite pump. Same pump. Thomas supplies
Firestone. Maybe, check that angle. Darren
