Removing Accent Stripe and.......

The effects of Iso Cyanides are cumulative and vary from person to person. Some people can paint with little protection for years and then one day
they can no longer breathe. Other folks have very fast reactions. It can also be absorbed by the skin which is why it recommended to wear a body
suit and fresh air respirator. Anything else is a risk.

Nasty stuff. I have painted quite a bit with hardened paints (it's the hardener that is the bad stuff) but I wear long sleeves, rubber gloves and a
good charcoal filter. More important, I make sure to stay UPWIND of the spray. Even with that, I know I'm taking a chance. I never claimed to be the
smartest guy in the group.

The ONLY method proven to protect a painter from iso is complete body
coverage and a positive pressure supplied air respirator. All that said
many painters decline the use of such due to its cumbersome nature and
effect the system can have on painter vision while spraying. A booth that
efficiently moves air and staying upwind of the spray cloud as Kerry said
are good things to minimize exposure. Even when the visible spray mist is
gone the clear is purging lots of vocs. Avoiding the smell of curing paint
films is just as important as staying out of the mist.
