The effects of Iso Cyanides are cumulative and vary from person to person. Some people can paint with little protection for years and then one day
they can no longer breathe. Other folks have very fast reactions. It can also be absorbed by the skin which is why it recommended to wear a body
suit and fresh air respirator. Anything else is a risk.
Nasty stuff. I have painted quite a bit with hardened paints (it's the hardener that is the bad stuff) but I wear long sleeves, rubber gloves and a
good charcoal filter. More important, I make sure to stay UPWIND of the spray. Even with that, I know I'm taking a chance. I never claimed to be the
smartest guy in the group.
