budget. Next. I start on the outside first. With the outside looking grea=
t. It's a lot more fun to work on a good looking GMC, then an ugly one. The=
GMC that I just started on. Paint is a little dull. But was all one color.=
Buffing will bring the shine back. So I took the frig vent off. Took it to=
National Coatings & Supply. As they can copy the vent cover electronically=
as to color. Thus they can copy the faded paint to what it is now. Not wha=
t the color was new. Call around to fine someone in your area that can do t=
his. I get a qt made. Then have them put some in a spray can. Start at som=
e corner. Use a tooth pick to paint in the rock chips. Then a small artist =
brush for larger chips. Lightly sand around larger areas. This is were the =
spray can comes in. So while that paint is getting harder. Use a Scotch-Br=
ite pad on all the aluminum window frames. Mask off the window glass, and =
the body that's next to the window frame. Go back to a body shop supplier.=
Get a spray can of SEM brand. Black Trim paint. Or Dupli Color. Trim & B=
umper paint. DO NOT use any general black spray cans. It WILL NOT hold up. =
PROMIS. I made masking templates instead of masking tape. Then use the =
Black Trim spray can on all aluminum window frames. Let all the paint cur f=
or a few weeks. Then it's time to get out the buffer. I like the Maguire li=
ght cut #1 cleaner. But courser cleaners/ rubbing compounds can be used. Tr=
y to keep off the painted black window frames. I now have one side with all=
the paint work done. Looking great. Buffing in two weeks. Now I want to wo=
