Having flown small plains in the past. Per flights become a habit. And that has carried over to our GMC. I have a check list hanging from my shift lever. And is only removed when the list is completed. That list covers items like. Awning secured, hatches locked, TV antenna down, pod closed/pined, windows closed, dolly pined with straps tight, utilities properly secured, all fluids OK, tires checked for damage/pressure, and so on. We all know this stuff. But if someone comes by. These distractions put us in a position to over look the fact that the pod wasn't pined shut. And we get to our destination without the top of that $400 pod. And no lawn chairs. Or an insurance claim to repair some strangers car paint job. Something to think about at any age.
