As soon as you start to crank the ONAN, the solenoid fuel shut off makes
one "click" and then the resulting output voltage at the control board
provides the 12 volt D.C. for it to remain pulled. When the Onan is turned
off, no 12 volts D.C on the board, and the solenoid plunger retracts,
making another "click". Usually so much noise associated with starter and
related stuff, that those clicks are hard to hear. Easier to hold on to the
thing and feel them, than to hear them.
