You're an inventive type of person. Put your brain into overload and see what else you can come up with.

All things are possible with angle grinder and welder! I love my little hobart mig welder, probably would get a lincoln next time. I run it on CO2 since I have that already.
I would love to make a RAT-ROD Road-Warrior style mount and use it to demonstrate the Onan and options like the Bovee e-ignition
OOOO, you have it on slide outs. Mine is fixed on account of I didn't get slides or housing with it. Ours lives in the garage with stuff piled on it. The top shelf sits on pins and comes off. I see you have something other than a OEM control panel on there.
I made it to be a test stand that I could easily take the Onan out and install a different unit.
Any semi flat area collects unimaginable objects, just one of the laws of nature.
I was an under study of Bill Bramlett. You don't need the control board. The only disadvantage I have found with my set up is the starter does not automatically disengage when the Onan starts up. You can install a relay for Low Oil Pressure hooked up to negative side of coil.
This eliminates the control board and K-1 relay
Onan currently does not run; I have been redoing two GMC's interiors as well as changing out engine and tranny in one and a tranny in the other.
You can do anything with deep pockets, but practically NO. It would take a complete redesign of the armature itself to make it a dual coil, center-tapped with 3 sets of brushes.
Or completely change the generator design so that the armature was the field winding.
Or, add a 120V to 240 v transformer.
I edited to add that you could use a 120 to 240V transformer. For you application, one sized to power your well pump might not be too big, but may be rare and expensive even used. I don't know pricing on large transformers as I was an electronics guy.
It would be easier to swap out your well pump with a lower flow 120V pump next time you replace it
OOOH, big bucks. My well is 210ft with pump set at 195ft. That is pushing water up a long way so needs a powerful pump at 220v. But, a good thought. I'll look into it.
But pumps don't last forever, you'll be buying a new one someday. Only cost would be the price difference 120v vs 240v. If you can find one to suit the application, might be tough at that depth.
