A 120VAC motor will consume twice the current of a 240 VAC motor for the same HP rating. So not only the motor/pump assembly will need to be changed, but likely the wiring from your electrical panel and down to the pump. That alone could cost more than the pump!But pumps don't last forever, you'll be buying a new one someday. Only cost would be the price difference 120v vs 240v. If you can find one to suit the application, might be tough at that depth.
