IIRC that switch also ha a vacuum line connected to it. When you step on the brake, the switch is suppose to kill CC electrically AND, as a safety
measure, open the vacuum line so it an not stick on.

I dug into mine really deeply (before I abandon it in favor of a 30+yo Dana in my junk collection) and one thing that should happen is the operating
vacuum should be broken by a valve on the brake pedal. That is what the purpose of one rubber lines from the cruise device into the cab is.
So, I would guess that either that line is plugged or there is something amiss with the valve on the brake pedal.
