Alan,

I would take two at that price. One for the GMC and one for my pickup. If you
are limited on the quantity then put me at the bottom of the list. I can get
by and the GMCs come first.

I own a 1973 Canyon Lands with 150,000 miles. Just before I stored it for
the winter the brake pedal occasionally went to the floor (scary!). I may
need a replacement master cylinder ( the front pads and rear shoes are
okay).. In Cinnabar's GMC News of December 1996 (Number 10) they strongly
recommend GMC part number 18008633. They state that it is unlikely any
other master cylinder is suitable because the rear chamber displacement must
be almost twice that of any similar master cylinder because it has four rear
wheel cylinders to fill. I know the cost (and shipping and exchange rate)
is very expensive for the recommended part out of Cinnabar. Are there any
alternatives that anyone could suggest ? Thanks for your assistance. John

Has any one seen the listing on e-bay for 1973 26ft. GMC . Starting bid
$8,500. Just enter GMC Motorhome. Bid ends 3/31/00

As a new owner I enjoy the knowledge of everyone that participates in this
forum. I am learning new things everyday. The volumes of email is truly
amazing, that all of you are so willing to help or lend advise. I was
disgusted this weekend that all the helpfulness degenerated into personal
attacks and nothing was accomplished. Those of you who engage in that kind
of mudslinging missed your calling, you should have been a politician. Bill
Gore needs you. I am pleased that we have returned to constructive
discussion again. The fact that some of you are willing to lend your
personal experiences with your coach just helps those of us who know very
little about them. It just shows how many NICE people there are in this
arena. Your experiences may not fit us exactly, but it does give us a place
to start. You should never, never be criticized for attempting to help. I
will probably never meet any of you in person, but I do feel as though I
have hundreds of new friends, that are out there if I ever need them.

Can someone answer this for me?
We just got a small 9 inch TV-VCR to take in our GMC it works either with AC
or DC. The instructions say to be sure your vehicle has a 13.2-volt negative
ground electrical system in order to use the cigarette lighter plug. Do we
have that in our GMC's?
Marlene Meineken

Yes Marlene you do have a 13.2 VDC system. You can use either your
television on DC, through the cigarette lighter or you can use the 110 V
system if you are plugged into shore power.

After spending $720 CAN in Calgary last year to replace my Radiator (that
had multiple repairs and four new leaks) I decided to protect the investment
for the future. I brought a roll of black plastic mesh used to catch leaves
in eaves (roof gutter) comes in a roll 6 inches wide. Glued three strips on
the back of the grill with some very good glue, then trimmed the excess of
with a rotary tool. Next I got some heavy duty half inch mesh galvanized
steel which I cut to size and wedged it nicely from the inside bottom of the
grill right around under the new radiator. While I had the grill out I
followed one of Dick Patersons suggestions to lower the temperature of the
air intake to the carb. I ran a piece of heavy duty 4 inch diameter home
dryer duct from the air cleaner intake to the rear of the grill where I
connected it to a clothes dryer exhaust hood having first removed the three
louvers on the hood. I sprayed the ducting, the hood and the lower mesh all
black. Understand such an installation can add up to 3 hp. You do not see
any of it in place but both do a great job. I was fortunate that the
previous owner had completely redone the interior along the lines of
Westdale in Ontario, Canada. The dinette, all reworked in oak, has been
moved over to the left side (away from the door). Both seats lift up,
there is also a deep pull out draw under the seat nearest the gallery. Both
sits lift up on hinges, behind and underneath the drawer space I can load in
three dozen water bottles (or other much better liquid). Under the other
seat nearest the driver I can load all my tools and jack etc.. On the
passenger side are two swivel rockers and a small table in between (for that
liquid stuff). The TV hangs from a bracket bolted into one of the frame
joists and hangs in a wrought iron "basket".
