I, too, am using the 0.80 gap (I didn't know any better.)

Can't report on long-term, as I only have put about 1000 miles on, but
starts well, passes emissions and pulls strongly without detonation. That's
with the MSD multi-spark Ignition with its variable timing control set at 4
degrees more advance than spec due to our altitude in the Denver area.

A friend offered me "such a good deal" on the steel wheels that were tak=
e-offs from the local GMC dealer. I thought I had cut a fat hog, but when=
we tried to fit these 16 inch rims on the front of my GMC motorhome they=
hit the calaper. Makes me sad. Back to trying to get a good deal on Alco=
as.

I had a very similar experience, even slight condensation on the inside glass
surfaces. Mine was a very slight weepage of coolant from the heater core --
never leaked or wetted the outside of the heater box under the hood. It was
fairly simple to replace by removing the front cover of the heater box that
straddles the two hood hatches.
