Scott,
Didn't have to worry about color back when. Bailing wire came in only one
color. Get into the jet age 2-O'er. Use those pretty colors.

It's that time again. Since additional "lurkers" and newbies have spoken
up, we have a GMC list of owners/supporters who are making themselves
available for what ever assistance they can offer to other GMC'ers on the
road traveling. This
list is for those who will offer help to others on a 24 hour basis, rain or
shine. Sorry no help for those in SOB's. Just a GMC. The list is being
maintained on a permanent basis at the link below along with other great
information.

Currently you can view this list at www.henry-davis.com/GMC thanks to Henry
Davis. While there, visit around and enjoy his work.

To sign up for the list, which is not mandatory to anyone, just send an
email to rblack and you will be added to the list and a copy
will then be sent to you for corrections, etc. Please send name, city,
state, country, area of coverage, phone number, and any other pertinent
information such as "facilities and knowledge to do off frame restoration."
We are just trying to have someone with local information to avoid rip-offs
to fellow travelers who have problems. Also, list size of coffee/tea pots.
To obtain a list for your own travels or use, whether on the list or not,
email rblack with "List" as the subject, and one will be sent
ASAP.

Thanks for your support of the "Black List."

1. Is my unit missing a dust cover over the ignition points, as they
are now out in the open??

2. I remember something about a sheet metal air deflector that directs
the cooling airflow horizontially away from the generator. My unit
directs the air straight down and really kicks up the dust. Is the
deflector available and from where?

>Alan,
>At this time there are no 16.5 Aluminum Wheel available for the GMC.
>The only wheel that is proven for the GMC is the 16" Alcoa wheel. The
>16" vs 16.5" refers to the rim diameter and not the diameter of the
>tire. Most if not all the rated tires used on the GMC are bigger in
>rolling diameter than most of the older 16.5" tires. Remember that the
>GMC center indexes off the hub and not the studs. The studs hold the
>wheel on the hub but the weight is supported by the center hole of the
wheel.

Nate I still have the instructions that came with my macerator.
I will quote from them as follows.

"After long periods of nonuse, the flexible impeller may stick to the
pump body preventing the macerator pump from turning freely. If this
occurs, the impeller can be broken free by removing the plastic cap
on the shaft at the rear end of the motor, inserting a screwdriver in
the slot and rotating the shaft clockwise a quarter turn or more.
When the impeller is broken free, reinstall the plastic cap on the
motor shaft."

Hope this will help you.
