I just got a 1973 26' GMC motorhome from my aunt and uncle yesterday. I
just subscribed to the list and wanted to introduce myself. My name is
Ed
Hatter and I live in Omaha, NE. I looked in the glove box to try to
determine which model it is and did not find anything that looked like a
model number. How do I find this?
I drove it 200 mile home yesterday and it ran great, for a 25 year old
vehicle. Of course, I have never driven anything like this before so I
don't know what it should drive like.
A couple of quick questions to start off. Since this is an Olds drive
train, can I just take it to the local auto mechanic to work on the
engin
and tranny, or do I need to go to an RV dealer? The back end stuff I
assume
I will have to go to the RV dealer? Also, what type of places can you
get
these repainted at? Truck and trailer body shops?
