Aren't new tanks $800 each. I know someone that just paid $1,100 plus tax to get both his tanks cut apart, blasted, welded, coated inside, and painted. Painting the outside Doesn't help with condensation on the inside. Plastic would be great. Plastic tanks have been in service for decades. Bob Dunahugh

True dat. However plastic tanks are molded.
You would need to make a mold - perhaps from an old tank - because our tanks are one - off. Likely they'd have to be molded in two halves to get the
slosh baffles in them. Perhaps there's a way to make a fiberglass tank which is fuel proof? It would be a lot cheaper unless the molder could sell
several hundred of them.

And would need DOT cert which might be expensive. I wonder if any Caddy, Suburban, SOB, farm implement Tanks would work?

a third tank, I don't know thw dimensions or capacity or plumbing.

Chuck Garton added a third tank a few years ago. He added a standard 25 gallon GMC tank by moving a crossmember and MO tying it forward. The third tank was just in front of the aux tank.

There have been a number of fabricated tanks that have been available for the coach. Yours are the best that I have seen and the quality of workmanship is noticeable. The others produced in the US have been produced using light gage mild steel sheet to keep costs down. Aluminum is a great choice, but has gotten very pricey on this side of the pond.

Of the original approximately 13,000 of those that were built, the whereabouts of over 8,000 of them are known and probably well over 1,000 are currently on the road. More could be put on the road if replacement fuel tanks were available."
