I made it down and back with no surprises. That in itself is a
surprise.

I did not get started until Sunday the 13th and left at 5AM and drove
straight through to Atlanta the first day. Patrick, I would have called
but I thought that 11:00 Pm Sunday was kind of late.

Used 1.5 qts of oil round trip, but there is a small leak on one of the
cheap chrome valve covers, so that might account for 1/2 of it. It will
be replaced with a MT cover soon. Also, the temps are down after
changing the jet from a 73 to 74 and removing some screening on the
grill. Ran 70-75 most of the way with a 40 or 50 mile stint at 80
according to the Delorme GPS.

Wish I could have arranged to leave the Lightning Assault Vehicle in
Louisianna and gone to Rayne, but work got in the way.

On th eway back I saw a gold GMC with a toad going south on 75, I honked
but I do not have a CB yet so couldn't shout. Only had one SOB pass me,
but you can't beat em all.

Chip,
You gotta be kiddin. Bourbon Street is never kind.{:>) Interesting,
exciting, unbelievable, and a few other descriptive words, but "kind" ain't
one of them. If it was kind you're on the wrong street.>
Been there, done that. Still have the headaches, too.

Yep, that would be Marcus' "Lightning Assault Vehicle". There's a photo
in the "Gallery" section of my site.

Well, I'll let you off with just a warning this time, but don't let it
happen again. Glad to hear the trip went well!

Marcus, is your coach black and blue and more electronic surveilance
equipment on top than NORAD? If so, I saw your coach in the parking lot of
the New Orleans Convention Center/Riverwalk the end of last week. It really
looks sweet from the outside. I circled the coach in the parking lot as my
friends remarked how cool it was. I work in downtown New Orleans and trek
over to the Riverwalk on sunny days for lunch.

Glad to hear your trip was uneventful. I hope the conference was productive
for you. How did you like the facilities at our convention center? Was
Bourbon Street kind to you.

Love the convention center, but your roads around town are bad to say the
least. My cousin works at the Hilton, and has for 23 years. Did Bourbon St.
for only 1 hour - too crowded, too young and my chaperone was with me. The
restuarants were great and spent the last night at Emerils. Could have bought
TPI for the cost of that meal.

Chip, you should have left me a note and we could of had a drink or three.
