Gary....have to add my .02 worth.....I broke a top mounting on a bilstien on
return from Rayne....I called the bilstien 800# and was told to send the
shock and proof of purchase for replacement...they also would have sent
overnight for half the retail price, then refunded remainder on receipt of
the core......might pay a little more but there were no problems on
warranty......shocks were installed in '97...10k

I'm wondering why you feel the KYBs have to be replaced every 4-5 years?

Mine are still performing very well after 7 years and I have no reason to
believe they still have more life in them.

FWIW... Last year I replaced my four rear Bilstiens after 10 years when the=
=20
seals began to leak. No problem with the warranty. I sent the old ones back=
=20
to Cinnabar and I now have four new ones, no charge...
