Does anyone know where we can find the larger driver and passenger windows? To get fresh air in the coach the wind wings are extremely poor in
function and I can not find anything on the net. it seems we are loosing viable products for our coaches.

Jim Bounds did post that they are no longer being made. there was not enough demand for his vender to continue. So you would have to find a coach
that had them installed, or maybe someone bought a set and never installed them.

for air, I like my wind wings, they push in a ton of air. However the wind wings are are loud, and when it is 90+ degrees out they are loud and
hot. I am getting my A/C sorted out, so I can hear the stereo.

the wind wings just take the right position, and the slider in the right side and they blow air in like a leaf blower..

I have no personal experience with the new Airstream style cockpit windows, but I do like the idea of a full height operable slider. It really bugs
me to have to lean down to talk through that little toll window. But I'm not sure that the taller slider would equate to greatly improved airflow.
When my OEM toll window is fully open it sucks out more air than it let's in. That's because of the Venturi effect of the airflow wrapping around our
big glorious curved windshields. I would think that the new taller windows wouldn't appreciably change the amount of air coming in. I hope someone
with the new windows will chime in and either confirm or debunk my suspicions.

If you aren't happy with the wind wing airflow, it's possibly because of how you're adjusting the wind wings and sliding window. Do you have the
trailing edge of the wind wing close to the outside of the glass and the glass slid up to that trailing edge? I keep the wind wing about 3/8" away
from the glass to let bugs scoot by and stay outside (this change occurred after discovering a 2" hornet on my shorts). The leading edge of the
slider shouldn't be further back than the trailing edge of the wind wing, and I slide the slider further forward from there to direct the airflow
where I want it.

I wouldn't have a GMC without wind wings, and the lack of wind wings and screens for the Airstream style windows is a deal breaker for me.

Like a few things that are no longer available ( flush window upgrade) i should have bough them when they were available. GM or someone needs to
manufacture this coach again, that would make total sense. Its not like the current box v10 options today are any better. our coaches are still years
ahead.

I think the demise of the windows was simply cost.....they weren't cheap (no surprise as im sure they cost mucho $$ to make).

Patience will be key to find a set in the wild...sooner or later something will show up....how much they will cost, well it wont matter if you truly
want them...lol.

The thing is about the wing windows, that no air can come in, if it has no
place to go after it gets there. I have a vent fan that is always open, (it
is covered and exhausts to the rear) When it is warm enough to use the wind
wings, I open that vent in the rear of the coach and the hot air is
exhausted out of it. Makes a big difference in air flow.
You might try opening windows in the back of the coach a bit, and see if
you like that better.

Speaking of ‘’ Not understanding how it works ‘’ my belief is that these wind deflectors were designed to enhance the exhaust of the air out of the window not fight lt by bringing it and the bugs in. Just open a window in the rear of the coach and you will have a reverse flow out of the cockpit windows. Also BTW be sure and have water in all your drain traps or you will have unpleasant aroma as these vent wings really do suck.

The full height sliders look nice and are nice for talking to someone, but they don't flow air any better than the little ones.
80mph down the road with them open and nothing is coming in, it's just a function of the shape of the front end of the coach.
The wind wings are the only way to get decent airflow.

Interesting concept of operation...i do beleive the gent that designed them may have thought the opposite as he had designed screens for the cockpit
windows but hey....if it works, it works....lol.

Frontal area is what the big difference is.
The main reason that the CD is similar to the Corvett is the proportion of
length to cord.
In earning my degree in Aero Space Engineering we were not taugh these
basic things as they felt it was too basic. I learned racing a Soap Box
Cars with my sons.
Wonder why engineers are not respected by technicians?

whole bunch (scientific terminology, vbg.) smaller than a GMC. The drag is
less, but the area is huge. So, gross drag is huge also.

Is total shape not calculated into CD and not just frontal area? I'm thinking from the motorcycle world were we try to blend race suit back design
into tail/seat fairing design etc.....

Don't know much about streamlining, except that the F-86 Saberjet, on the
early versions, experienced severe buffeting when it approached the speed
of sound. They did extensive wind tunnel work on the wings and tail
feathers, and found nothing. Then, they tested the fuselage, and discovered
that the laminar flow over the fuselage worked fine at sub-sonic speed,
but, close to the speed of sound, became very unstable and tried to fly
sideways both directions at the same time.
The fix came from an engineer that was looking at a coke bottle, and
got the idea that if he pinched in the sides of the fuselage, like Marilyn
Monroe's waist, that the air would change speed until the transition to
supersonic speed was complete. They tried several shapes fore and aft, and
it worked. Shapes are funny things. Today, they have all that empirical
data plugged into computers. They design aircraft now, not people.
There are still "seat of the pants" car builders. A lot of them gather

The wings are installed as directed, but it not a real issue. the real issue is getting sufficient air flow though a cat door that was really a design
failure. in is in the wrong location, and in an akward location to boot.

I am finding on this coach that after weeding though all the information you have to pick and choose those items that seem to fit each individual
coach owner best. the concept of redirecting wind via a plastic scoop though an most insane small opening a cat would not use to walk though is insane
thinking. now are the roof hatches open yes , in the AC field one knows that you can only fill as much air in a room as will fit unless you have an
opening to exhaust or one install and exhaust fan. so It goes to say you cant get air in a coach after it is pressurized unless there is a place for
it to escape. that said the design of the cat window is BS and a GM fail.

option , cut to holes in the floor to bring infresh air via an air scoop on the front of the grille. Is hacking into the coach the real answer that
should have been engineered in from the beginning? we should have better options. this coach back in the day was the premier coach and today still is
in my opinion. we should have solutions to be on par with our coaches design. A cat door for a window is not a design solution. I am tired of hacking
on my coach. I mean the average cost of any repair or upgrade on the coach is $1500.00

So who is the company that was making the windows? what can a one off cost $3000.00? buy the time i am done breaking in my new motor and installing it
there will be more that $10,000 in to include the mondello roller set up ill never use. so whats $3000.00 for real side windows?

Sorry for the soap box. Its real exhausting to not have real solutions.
