So, what are you calling the "hold" Position??? I looked all over that dash
and can't find a "hold" switch.
Do you think it is better to have the compressor enabled, or should I follow
the instructions in my hand book???

You hit the nail square on the head with your discussion on tire rating &
Air suspension system discussion. Driving a GMC with the wrong tires/low
air pressure or with the Air System in "HOLD" is a big No-No in my book.
Get the correct tires & fix the Air System ..... enjoy trouble free
travels.

If you have a Power Level system you have a Travel, Raise, Hold, and Lower.
When travelling it should be in travel.

You may have an electro-level 1 or 2 and they are a little different.
