About 11PM. On our way home from the Ohio GMCMI event. There was someone on my left. A tractor/trailer in front of us. The truck knocked the pig down. We finished it off. The ramp for Linda, and her wheelchair has some damage. So she’s staying in the GMC at home in the drive. Check it’s safety in the morning. At least we got home. With out an exhaust system. More importantly you and Linda escaped unscathed!

Assuming the exhaust system got knocked off close to the cockpit I hope you weren't too far from home as listening to a 455 with no
exhaust for a long distance doesn't sound like something fun!

Your luck with 2 GMC's has been such that you may be interested in the Abrams model. Slow and heavy, but almost indestructible.

I worked in crash for short part of my time at Chrysler. Unknown to most is that they do both a "pig" and a "deer" test. The pig is basically a
heavy bag on cardboard tube legs. I was amazed at the damage it did....

This sounds kinda like a regional problem like tornadoes and hurricanes and
severe lightning storms. We don't have pigs running loose, but we do have
deer, elk, and moose. Those will definitely ruin your day, and perhaps end
them permanently if you hit one. Glad you were not injured in this
encounter, seems like you have had more than your share of "BUZZARD LUCK".

Having lived in far south Texas for about a year,

I saw several cases where somebody hit a javelina

(Mexican wild pig) and the damage that ensued!

Downright ornery critters. If you encounter a

batch (herd?) of them on the road at night, it's

best you turn around and retreat.

it's time for someone to fab up a cowcatcher for the GMC like the old Baldwin 4-4-0 locomotive...:lol:

You got it, Rob, but I don't want to force the victim under the coach, not much room down there and deer(very common road kill up here) antlers will
go right through a plastic or sheet metal tank, so I want to shove 'em off to the side or automatically flip them over the coach into the cargo
trailer so I can bring them to dinner later :) Dad hit a deer on the interstate back in 1968 with the Olds 98, it went under and the antlers caught
the shift linkage and threw the transmission into reverse at 70 miles an hour. Uncle crawled under and got the jammed antlers out, but the tranny was
toasted and would not move the car. No cell phones, no CB radio, no AAA, and no police assistance back then, so that was the first time (and so far
only time) I spent the night on the side of the interstate.

I got the bright idea to stay behind trucks on paved roads; my theory was that they would knock the roos out of the way!.

WRONG!

An experienced rider told me the BIG roo bars knock them under the truck and then spit them out behind them. Unless you're a good
distance behind the truck you get taken down!

So much for that idea!
