A/ I don't think this would impact any other chapter's membership. Many
owners belong to more than one chapter, B/ A GMCnet chapter is a good
idea, C/ GMC MH/I is already crossing country boundries, not that that
matters, butI thoughtI would clarify that point.
Organziing under FMCA's banner has a lot of merit. There is liability
insurance coverage for chapter get togethers and to cover officer's
decisions. (It would be interesting to see if the inurance covers someone
on the Net who reccommends something that causes a serious liability
exposure)
The FMCA regs have more to do with being good citizens than anything
else, something I'm sure most people on this forum could easily abide by.
The magazine is easily worth the cost ofmembership.
Complying with the two rallys per year reqm't would be easy; one in the
East and one in the West. It is good to put faces to names. The two
rallys could combine with the GMC/I rallys so there wouldn't be any
additional travel required.
Comments on the above is welcomed. Seems to me from the number of
responses so far, there is a moderate level of interest in organzing in
some fashion. As a Chpater of FMCA I see more advantages than
disadvantages.
What do you all think? What about Patrick? Doyou have any concerns about
the Net becoming more than it presently is? I would yield to your wishes
as I like the Net just the way it is, but it would be nice for guys and
gals to be able to park together. This is what prompted this thread in
the first place.
For me, as an officer in my club, etc., I probably would still want to
park with my Florida Chpater.
