Is this dust cap the inner one covering and protecting the wheel bearing,
axle shaft nut, and cotter pin or the outer chromed one?
Called local Ford dealer. They quoted a list price of $4.86 and claimed it
was a package of one cap?

Al
Just happened to pickup one of the Ford caps yesterday. Ford Part number
C8TZ-1131-C. They are packaged two to a box
I wanted to see what they looked like as I need to repack /replace my rear
wheel bearings and will replace them at that time. They look good but I
have not been invoiced for them yet so I cannot tell you what they cost.

ho or what is Dorman? Are they sold at NAPA or CarQuest?

You can also go to a Ford dealer. They are an exact fit and I believe about
three or four dollars. I read the part number in some recent publication.
If I find it I'll post it for you. Aparrently they are about half the price
of the GMC ones.
