Hi everyone. I have a question. Please don't think we're complete idiots. We're just used to a bit newer motorhome that's... Less confusing. Lol.
We're trying to move a 1962 GMC motorhome (model tk-35?).
It's been parked for at least 6 years and not started/ran at all during that time.
Unfortunately, the gentleman that owned it passed away and we know nothing of how to operate this beauty.
Our motorhome is roughly 35 years newer. So this is foreign to us.
We've charged the batteries, which appear to be pretty new. Also have the booster hooked up too.
We can hear the solenoid click, but it won't turn over and start.
Should we put some diesel treatment in with fresh diesel? Would it help anything?
Does anyone knows of a video that shows exactly how to start one of these things? Just to make sure we're turning, pushing, etc., all the right switches.
As I said, ours is completely different. Turn the key, it's running. No air brakes or anything like this one has.
I can't thank you enough for any advice you care to send our way. It's much appreciated.
