Hi Pete-
If I had to make a quick guess, I suspect you may have inadvertently mislaid
the little spring (looks much like the type in a retractable ball point pen)
that lifts the metering rods.
The carb is definitely 'repairable' but you might need a parts carb from a
similar engine to get a close match on the spring, if thats the cause. There
may be something jamming up the plunger also-
Take it off and apart and count the parts, I'd be glad to help.
