Speaking of Bilstein shocks, I have at least one on my coach that is
leaking.
I'm told that there is a lifetime warranty, but I am not the original
owner.
Can I get a replacement shock under warranty, or am I required to
purchase a new
one?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Richard,
One of mine blew apart, most likely because I raised the rear without
deflating the air bag. Anyhow, I called Bilstein, asked if I could
exchange it (during my lunch hour) and they said bring it in and if I
didn't get there before the warehouse guys went to lunch, they'd leave
it with the receptionist. I showed up at 12:30 with the oiliest,
dirtiest shock (wrapped in a rag) I've ever seen and the receptionist
took it from me without a moments hesitation, asked me if I was Steve, I
nodded yes and she handed me my new shock. I asked her if she wanted to
see my invoice and she said "nope!" BTW, she grabbed the part that was
not wrapped with the rag, great PR!
