Ed Lubo sent me a 73 sales leaflet for the GMC motorhome. I just posted
it at:
http://www.gmcmotorhome.com/faq/73brochure.html
Warning - there are some serious size graphics. I probably should have
made them a little smaller, but I wanted to be sure that the ad copy was
legible. The decor, clothing and hair styles are amusing(my how things
have changed), but what I found interesting were the number of
differences between the coach on the cover and the "production"
coaches. A few things I saw:
- mirrors look like aftermarket bolt ons
- engine access covers larger and squared off
- engine access covers have one latch each
- range hood vent is on roof instead of side wall
- generator door vents appear to be rear-facing "scoops"
I'm curious if this was a preproduction prototype that was used for ad
purposes or an early production model. Any GMC historians out there
that can shed some light on this?
