I simply do not:
(a) use it enough to justify keeping it
(b) have enough time to do (a)
I love it, as I do all other technically unique cars &
trucks, but I know someone else out there could enjoy
it more. I had planned on fixin' her up nice &
pretty, etc, but Uncle Sam is sending me away for the
summer, and I don't want to deny my 260 her time on
the road.
1973 GMC 260, originally a Sequoia, but repainted &
customized sometime in the 80s, judging by the brown
carpet and three-tone brown/gold/beige paint scheme.
Oak cabinets overhead up front. Couch/double bed on
passenger side. Two swivel chairs & table on driver
side. Range/oven has oven overhead with a stovetop.
Below that are drawers. Sink, of course. Refrigerator
is gas/12v/120v 3-way. Standard side bath &
closet/drawer section over rear wheels. Side facing
"setee"s that fold over to make a double bed.
Original Olds 455. Stickers are still on the valve
covers. I has a LPG conversion where you can drive on
propane if you want. HUGE propane tank. Newer water
tank.
53k miles
Engine is a dream.
Excellent brakes - I am still amazed at how quickly I
could bring it down.
Two brand new shocks for the front and two for the
rear, still in the boxes. I broke front right shock
last year in Cass County, NE, and it bent the lower
mount on the right side, but it is still very solid,
and I was about to have a welder take a look to put it
back at the correct angle. Steering still tracks true.
3 brand new batteries - fires up right away & purrs so
smoothly.
Nearly new tires are 8.75x16.5 Load Range D, on
standard OEM wheels.
Left exhaust pipe just aft of the ThermaSan injector
has a hole in it, so it's probably time for a new
exhaust.

or drive by & take a look - it's in my driveway.
