Since I don’t have a 403 I didn’t ask him. It’s likely the same plug but perhaps you should email him and ask.

I forgot to say that Dick Paterson recommends always using a torque wrench when installing plugs.
Most of us just spin them in and lean on the wrench.
Dick says to torque them to 26-30 ft-lbs.
Over torque can distort the thin base and fracture the “gas tight” seals between the porcelain and...
Dick Paterson has long recommended the NGK # XR51X (7355)
spark plugs for the Olds 455 engine gapped at .038 to .040
I went onto the internet to check prices. I had bought them in the past at O’Reilly.
Their price is currently 8.99 each at the store.

The classic definition of a interference engine is:
An interference engine is a type of 4-stroke internal combustion piston engine in which one or more valves in the fully open position extends into any area through which the piston may travel. By contrast, in a non-interference engine, the...
There is no difference between the car and the motorhome wheel bearings. Years ago there was a difference in tolerances but that was standardized. The removal and installation is identical.

No. The Set 23 includes 2 wheel bearings and the spacer. So you only need two sets to d o the front of the GMC Motorhome. You are correct n the rears.

I know well what all the parts are named and where they are located. Kanomata was talking in one message about the lower part of the radiator ; ergo— the condensor.

Yes, and people keep wanting to call it “Cleaning A/C compressor. I think they mean A/C condenser.

Hope all have a great Thanksgiving. I am home with a broken foot. I slipped going up my front stairs and fell back four steps. My head hit the driveway but didn’t crack any concrete!
I have a large plastic orthopedic boot and a cane so I can hobble around.
My daughter and family are here. I am...
I haven’t heard from you yet if it’s 23’ or 26’. You can just take a tape measure to check that. The result would rule out several models.

A Birchaven is only a 23 foot. It also is a Transmode converted to a motorhome by Coachmen Industries. Coachman also converted 26’ transmodes. They were called Royales.

I had bought the Harbor Freight assortment and used my flare tool to make a flat washer into a conical one. It then worked fine in an inversed flare fitting.

On the inside of the distributor there is a short bolt used to ground the internal wiring harness. You can just replace that bolt with one about 1/2” longer. It will stick out the bottom of the distributor and you cam them put a wire with a a round terminal on the bolt and use a lock washer and...

Don’t assume that when you retire you are going to have lots of free time. I retired at 55 and have been retired for close to 20 years now. Before I retired someone told me that I should get everything done that I really wanted to do because once I retired I wouldn’t have time to do it.
I...
Not all alcohol is the same.
Ethanol is in the fuel now. Heet was methanol. Methanol has one carbon while Ethanol has two.
Methanol is better at absorbing water.

12 deg May be a little too much. With vacuum advance connected you are over 12 deg. Try setting vacuum advance a little lower. Try 8deg and then hook up the vacuum and see if it still backfires.
