Greetings from Texas! After a lot of looking and a ton of research we finally made the move and picked up a 1976 26' Transmode that was upfitted by Coachmen. We were initially looking at 5th wheel toy haulers as we travel to MiniGP, Track Days, and soon to be Karting events. My wife was insistent on something that she could move around in a little while we were traveling. So the search began. We knew we wanted something that we could make our own through restoration. We both loved the styling of the GMC's and the form factor seemed just right. We settled on a unit that needs a complete refurbishment (I will add pictures when I can). Fortunately we paid next to nothing to get into the coach given its condition, and my fortunate ability to tow it home myself, so now we can start the restoration process and see how much this is truly going to cost us (read; I may never financially recover from this). I have already been browsing the forums and gathering ideas and will make a build thread shortly. Part of our decision was based on the group of people involved with theses coaches and their willingness to help out and answer questions. A couple of phone calls from the "Black List" and we knew this was the way to go. We're located in Central Texas, have a couple of little yahoos, I'm a Firefighter in the area, my wife and I also run a real estate development and holdings company. I look forward to contributing here and can't wait to get started. Thanks!
