Update - RV Glass:

"We do have it in stock. I can provide you with the quote once I get the ship to address to add the freight and crate."

I asked them for the cheapest shipping method. Time doesn´t matter as long as it is not too expensive. o_O

That's great! I'm sure shipping will be pricey--and the windshield too for that matter, but at least it's possible to get one. I'll withdraw my inquiry with them. They were starting to ask for the numbers off the glass, and other details I don't have.

Thanks for your help!
That 's certainly great to hear! 'Cause there aren't too many of them around I would guess.

Yes, Revcon produced about 2,000 motorhomes, but I don' t know how many Flat Noses and Slant Noses in detail.

Good question. Which one do I need? Gasket, molding or both? I have asked my mechanic in Saxony to have a look at the driver' s side, but no answer so far.

Your coach looks on the picture similar to my Chieftain, and in that Winnebago, the glass was glued to the metal, leaving a (filled ) gap with sealant, in which the molding was pressed, while the sealant was still 'wet'.
The 'leg' of the molding , which looked like the # M1 in the above chart then covers both the glass and the surrounding fiberglass (on mine) or metal on a car-like surround.

I would suggest you remove a part of the molding to decide which one you need, but in my case the molding was re-used, as it came out without any damage. You could decide to remove the whole thing now, and if it comes out in good shape, then it is perhaps best to re-use the original
My 2 cents.

If I may give you one more piece of advise, regarding the reason for the crack in your window?

I was sure that mine had been caused bij the twisting of the frame during setting up on the hydraulic stabilizers, regardless how careful I always had been with the setting-up procedure, and always extended the jacks in pairs.

I changed my mind after I had prepared the access for window-man, and had removed some of the fiberglass front under the windscreen. There was rust visible, just in the areas where the 2 cracks had started. When the old window was removed, some more rust came to light, (as it always does).
The (mobile) glass setter agreed to give some time for the repair.
So I removed that part of the bad area, and manufactured a matching piece and welded that in place. Problem solved.

Here the glass had not been removed yet

Another spot, als on the lower edge after the glass was out.

Finally I got an offer from RV Glass/Duncan for one driver' s side windshield and shipping to Germany. Good lord. USD 2,000,-- for the windshield and transportation (without import duties) would have been my limit.

This is indeed outrageous! As I said earlier on, I (= my insurance) paid around €2600 ($2825) for new glass, freight and import. I do not recall in installation was included, but think it wasn't.
This was around 2017/18.
Are you aware about other such units in Europe/ dismantlers?
What are your options now?

Edit: I also sometime look at irv2.com/forums/ ,
and recently there was a link to RV glass firm, here:

Perhaps have a look around that forum, just for USA motorhomes.

There is no 1979 Revcon in Europe which I could part out. It' s no option for me anyway.

I' m trying to find a cheaper supplier, I am not willing to pay this price, it' s a rip-off.

1,000,-- for the windshield would have been OK.

The crack is about 20 cm (7, 87 inches) long and it goes down vertically. I am going to put an Oldsmobile Logo sticker over it.

And I' m hoping to get a better offer...

Or a couple of Austian tax stickers above each others; maybe you could get hold of earlier years, for free or very little. Or stickers from campsites, or Austrian Automobile club.

Here in the Netherlands, it would not be a TÜV failure, if it is a single crack and not in the direct line of drivers vision

As I suggested earlier, run some krazy glue into the crack. It'll seal it up and help prevent further migration. Mask it off first then trim excess flush with a razor blade.

I will look for U.S. Campground stickers. Good idea. 😅

It' s difficult, because I can' t feel the crack with my fingertips. The crack seems to be inside between the layers. But I will take a closer look once again and yes, this could be a solution. Thanks.
