Hi All,
I've been looking at GMCs for over a year now. I believe I want an Eleganza or other configuration that offers sleeping space for a family of three and a golden retriever (and a shower for the humans). I'm happy to be schooled on the best layout and equipment to look for.
I'm located in North Carolina, but willing to travel (or haul) for the right vehicle. I prefer a reconditoned vehicle like an Explorer conversion and will happily pay a little more for it up front to avoid 40+ year old car problems.
I look at these things as a more complex classic car than the ones I own now, and understand what I'm getting into mechanically outside of the RV pieces. If there are any major pitfalls outside of generators and airbags I should watch for, appreciate the advice.
Thanks
Luke
My daughter saw a GMC For Sale by Owner in Griffin, GA over the weekend. I
just talked to the owner and offered to post this information in case
anyone's interested:
'77 Royale with 64K original miles
Present owner's had it for 10 yr.
Redone interior (no details)
Chrome hub caps (No Alcoas)
Rear bumper & fiberglass damage
(Not in photos; he estimates $800-$1200 repair)
Was $18,500 before damage, now $14,500
Phone 678 six one four - zero one 40
That's ALL I know.
Ken H.
