Just got back from Ken Frey's place. He did a 6 wheel alignment, new
front hubs, bearings, front brakes, torsion bar adjustment, exhaust
work, idle adjust, vacuum hoses and a lot of other expensive stuff. The
thing handles great, runs great, steers perfectly straight and feels
like there is an anchor when I stop (even with the Tracker/TOAD!). I
thought it was okay before, now it is awesome. Still seems to leak
tranny fluid, we figured out that the fan clutch and battery isolator
are bad (more stuff for my list). Ken also determined what the hose
running to the space above the front batteries is...THE GAS VAPOR
RETURN. There was no canister! All set now.
Ken is a real master. He takes pride in his work and loves these GMC
things.
Now for my list of stuff to do. 24 hours a day for 7 days, I should be
able to make it without going to work and without sleep.
