Was wondering...if your unit only has one A/C but is factory wired for 2 is there extra wites in your breaker box? Or did they just leave them
dangling in behind along the wall somewere?

I can see them tucking them up on the roof by the fan opening but what about the other end?

Mine didn't have any wires for the rear air. Didn't even have any framing for one. I framed with 1X 2" or maybe it was 1 x 1.5" aluminum angle and ran
the wire to the breaker box.

Rich,

Of the Coachmen I have seen, the other end is near the breaker box (AC distribution panel) and marked.

A hint, Marine Romex is available and it is stranded and much easier to make take tight bends, Most devices don't like stranded, so you may have to
put terminals on it.

Ill have to drop the vent trim and have a look up there.....im afraid this might be more work then the return if i have to brace up the opening, run
wires, move the black water vent over etc etc.....

I guess ill look then decide but it would be a shame not too only because i have 2 brand new Carrier AirV heat pump to put up there.

What is going to be around the vent opening if its can be installed.....aluminum supports/trim?

You can use wood about 1 1/2" thick as a perimeter box as the roof uit will
sandwich the roof and the lower.
not a big deal.

Rich, Where You Are, a single unit might be sufficient. Around here and points south you're gonna need two.

Yah, im starting to rethink this whole 2 A/C thing and agree it may not be worth it ....im thinking maybe one A/C unit and 2 MaxxFan's might be the
ticket (i dont like whats there now anyways....lol),

Depends the insulation in the coach and where you goo regarding outside temp. One 15K BTU might well be enough, but if you get South of me
(Appalachian foothills in GA) July and August can be brutal... particularly in a spot with little or no shade.

Most likely upper US and Canada will be our travel areas for the next little bit....dual air would be nice with the dogs and maybe ill just pre-wire
it for now and if we need to go down the dual route then i can decide weither i keep going or not....if all it was is pulling wire and maybe braceing
it would be easy but i have to relocate a black tank vent to the side by about a foot....again not a huge deal but more work etc.
