Gary in Oregon. How did your new electric wipers from Golby work out?
Now that you have had a couple of months to test them, would you do it
again? I am tired of trying to get the hydraulic ones fixed and will go
with the electric swap if I can find good comments of them.

Darren,
The electric windshield wiper conversion from the hydraulic is on my list of
the 10 best things that I have done to the coach. The installation was
straight forward and the wipers work great. I particularly like the
intermittent feature and the push button washer. If only there were a
conversion kit to move the passenger wiper and reverse the rotation.....

It has been done by Ron Tase (tasegmc31) and others!

Personly, I haven't used my wipers in 4-5 years. I use RainX always and
it works for me.

I realize that this may not work for everyone, but I'll tell you what I
found out about our '77 Kingsley. I have the original factory hydraulic
wipers.

If you turn the wipers on to a steady, slow speed, then very sloooowly push
the lever toward the off position, you will reach a point of 'wiper nirvana'
where they will have an intermittent wiper function.

They make a single slow wipe, then rest and repeat, over and over, till you
turn them completely off. It may not work on every coach, but it does on
mine, and its a heck a lot cheaper than a change out to electric.

It takes some patience to learn how to reach this setting, but it's worth
it.

PS -- a wonderful, trouble free trip to Sandusky, Ohio over the weekend, but
we didn't see a single GMC. :-( It did rain, though, and my wipers were
'in the zone.'
 
I musta hit a wrong button last night when I was posting the pictures.
They don't seem to be in the right directory. I'll take it down tonight
anyhow.

I've got the same results. works just fine, like you said takes practice
but worth it. Been considering, attempting to put a metering valve in-line
to have the feature on demand.
