Wiper Motor - Electric

A while back there were some messages about an Electric wiper motor to
replace the hydraulic one. They spoke of one from a Holiday Rambler.
Does any one know the part # or the year that they would come from.
I am going junking at an RV salvage yard next week and they have some
there. It will be kind of fun doing some damage and stripping the
SOB's.

Ditto the Rain-X usage. I just returned from a week long trip on Highway
101 along the Washington State coast and the Olympic Peninsula. At highway
speeds, the wiper's are never needed.

First I've heard of a wiper from a Holiday Rambler.

I do know that Golby in Orlando sells a kit for approximately $495, I'm
told.

Let us know if you find one to fit.

Another thing someone may want to check on, that I've had in the back of
my mind, but haven't taken the time to check out, is to see if the
segmented wiper arm from the GM snout nosed minivans (Chevy, Olds and
Pontiac) is approximately equal in length to that used in the GMC. Then
Toyota Previa van may be another? Perhaps a segmented arm would do a
better job of wiping away the rain????

I looked at the one from Golby and although it is nice $495 is steep for
me. The motor from a wrecked Holiday Rambler should run between 45 and
75 and then just figure out the arrangement.

I will check on the articulated wiper blades at a local salvage yard. I
may pick one up to see how it works.
