Fritz.
I just got back from my first GMC holiday. This explains the late
reply.
I found the wiper blades at NAPA. They are "Heavy Duty" blades. They
will not be found at places that carry the common generic blades.
Before I left on holidays I treated the windows with Rain-X. This is a
worthwhile investment.

Gil,
Thanks for the answer (and thanks to others, too).
Trico number for heavy duty 20" blades is 72-200; NAPA part #60-2008.
I'm trying to switch to 22" blades for a little more coverage with the stock
arms, but haven't gotten the correct blades yet from my parts man. Evidently
these are scarcer yet. Will post the number when I/if get the blades.

I have to agree about Rain-X on the GMC windshield. I use it. For drizzle
and light rain, it does a good job of keeping the windshield sufficiently
clear to use the wipers infrequently. While I have a relatively new
windshield, I've seen Rain-X at work on a "stock" (somewhat pitted)
windshield and it makes a difference on them as well by filling in some of
the microscopic pits and allowing the air flow to disperse the water.

Cheers,
Fritz
