Windshield Replacement Video

Yep well I see how it goes together. when things dry out a bit, I'll fix the leak.

It has been our experience that the leak is always between the body and the gasket. This is easy to reseal WiTHOUT removing anything except any old sealant / contaminants from the area. Also seal down the sides. The bottom, is not done.

Sealing between the glass and the gasket is not a usually water leakage issue. It is usually done during windshield replacement to help reduce future fogging. GM never sealed either of these areas. You could also do this area if you wish by pulling the lock bead and filling the seam with urethane as seen in the video. Again it is not too difficult but will requure a lock bead tool and maybe some replacement lock bead.

Thanks Ken, noted!

Reefed out the top and side seams today, difficult job with an eyebrow fitted, not much room to work and very difficult to see what's what ....however, got it removed, masked it up and filled up the seam with urethane. Let's hope that gets it!
