I'm wondering about the relative merits of new vs old style windows. New are supposed to seal better, and as you don't have to touch the screens to
open or close, the screens are more likely to survive my children.

And experience on that? I can imagine being boondocking on a windy, 40 degree night, how much better are the new style windows.

Old are 1973-mid 1975, new are mid 1975-1978

Ron, we stock the new style windows, but I can tell you upfront, it will
not be beneficial during cold times.
Replace the fin gasket that run vertically with new, which we can supply.
For warm weather, you cannot beat the new style as it is heavily tinted to
cut down on inside temp.and the vent glass has live rubber gaskets on all 4
sides and is very quiet. It is very easy to open the vent anytime.

We prefer the old original style, especially up front. when parked on nice days, you can open big windows on both sides and you have a lot of air
that can come through the coach keeping it airy and cooler. Take the windows apart and clean out the tracks and the area under the tracks. Replace
the sliders that are worn or broken. JWWD
