Does anyone know of a replacement part for the TRICO 12 DC volt motor
and pump that came as OEM equipment on the '76 Transmode? I don't know
if other GMC models used it but mine has quit working completely. There
is voltage to the motor terminals so I believe the motor has burned
out. The little gray plastic covered motor and pump is riveted to the
lid of the fluid reservoir. It is about 1" in diameter, standing about
1.25 " high. The pump has a rubber impeller. The reservoir and pump
assembly hangs on a bracket mounted to the lower driver's side of the
heater / AC / blower box up front under the "hood". There is no TRICO
part number on the pump so the auto parts dealers here say they can't
help. The unit was made in England. Any leads on this part would be
appreciated. Thanks.

Phil,
There are a lot of pumps available to use although the integral mounted
pump is probably not available. AutoZone, Pep boys and good old J.C.
Whitney have replacement pumps although you may have to mount them differently.
